Deposit guarantee scheme
The Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (FGDR), created by the law of 25 June 1999, is responsible for protecting and compensating customers in the event that their banking institution fails. The deposit guarantee scheme covers deposit accounts and passbook accounts up to €100,000 (excluding passbook accounts guaranteed by the French government). The investor compensation scheme covers all financial instruments up to €70,000. The performance bonds guarantee scheme covers regulatory surety commitments made by professionals for their clients.
The FGDR can also intervene in crisis resolution before a bank fails, to avoid consequences for customers.

Policy on managing conflicts of interest
Pursuant to the provisions of Articles L533-10, 3 of the French Monetary and Financial Code and 313-18 et seq. of the General Regulation of the AMF, Arkéa Banking Services implements a system for detecting and managing conflicts of interest in order to protect the interests of its customers.
Arkéa Banking Services’ system is integrated into the system used by the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa group.
This system is based on:
- Segregation of the Group’s various financial functions and activities among its entities.
- Control of the flow of information among the various Group entities through governance rules and procedures and strict decisions within the Group.
- A strict framework of rules and recommendations that the Group’s employees must follow when performing their duties.
- Periodic or permanent controls of compliance of transactions carried out within the Group.
